Lego no El Corte Inglés

Two hillbillies in a shopping centre

As we don't follow the portuguese tradition of spending weekends in shopping centres, these two kids look like total hillbillies when they finally get to one. We went to Colombo yesterday, as they had a birthday party at the fun centre (oh joy!), and they were full of: Oh!, How beautiful!, Magnificent!, It looks like Christmas!. Poor deprived children!!

Mark's elixir of life

Mark has been whispering to us that we are to go to hospital, have heart surgery and replace our hearts with some hearts that never die. After some insistence, and seeing we were not following such good advice, he was getting upset and I had to explain that there is no such surgical procedure. Ah, he says, then there is a spray! Much better, I think... a little spray instead of dangerous open heart surgery! I asked him to follow his own advice too but he looked at me like I was insane. What for? I am not a father yet!

Stay alive - the first duty of parenthood...

A minha miúda

Boomerang XI

Unspinning the boomerang, by Hugh Hunt, Plus Magazine

What goes around comes back around

We were all going out for dinner. After the kids bath, Neil inadvertently had their pyjamas out, instead of jeans, shirts, etc.

Luke: What are you playing at, Papa?

Fogo das metícias

E o Mark substituiu o Araújo do meu nome por Parafusos!

Stop all the Clocks

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

W. H. Auden
